A combination of hickory and oak help us achieve each mouthwatering munch. Hickory is not only extremely hard, but also very intense in aroma and taste. Oak is softer across the board (pardon the pun!), which will lend balance from first to last bite.
It’s only the oldest style of BBQ in the nation, that’s all! Specifically, ENCS is vinegar-based with a variety a spices that make every North Carolina roadside BBQ joint unique. Of course, many other factors go into making great BBQ, but we can’t give all of our secrets away…

We believe every product at Pigman’s stands for itself. However, if asked, we try to obtain more information (customer’s tastes, preferences) before answering the question. For example, it all started with our signature vinegar-based pork BBQ, but if a patron prefers sweet instead of tangy, we recommend a variety of our products cooked or basted with our sweet, Rib Roarin’ sauce. Feel free to ask, we love talking about our Que!
A boat is a term used for our sandwich combo meal. It consists of a serving of French fries, 4 hush puppies, and a BBQ sandwich. It’s called a “boat” because the food container resembles one. This is quite fitting, considering we hail from the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
