My husband and I had our wedding reception catered by Pigman's on October 1st. We would like to thank everyone, especially Janet, for being so helpful in the process. Pigman's was the first and only restaurant we tried when selecting our caterer, and after falling in love with the food, hospitality and reasonable pricing, we knew there was no where else to look. Guests raved about the barbeque, and the cornbread and mashed potatoes were to die for. We had so much extra food that we were eating barbeque for the next week for lunch. Thank you for everything and for delivering on time so this bride had one less thing to worry about.

Dear Janet,

I am sorry for the tardy follow-up email but I wanted to take a few minutes and share with you our total satisfaction with the BBQ dinner Pigman's catered for DJ and Veronica's wedding rehearsal dinner on Saturday 29 May 2011.

The young man who set everything up for us (I believe his name was Joe sorry if I haven't remembered correctly) was a true professional in every way! The BBQ, side dishes, and cornbread strawberry cake were cooked to PERFECTION and DELICIOUS!!

Many of the guests were new to true southern BBQ as they hailed from NY, NJ, and Boston. EVERYONE gave rave reviews and there were few items left over after the dinner.

On behalf of our family, DJ and Veronica, we say THANKS!! Pigman's has become a must stop for all our future trips to the OBX.

In today's world it is very easy to become overwhelmed with day-to-day obligations but one should never be too busy to stop and extend a both appreciation and a grateful thank you for a job well done.

I still love the Carolina Style Que. But try the tuna-que, it was delicious. I dont think I had anything but the tuna-que. Their hush puppies are unique and tasty.

A good solid barbecue joint, for sure. They offer a wide range to include beef, turkey, and ham along with the requisite chopped pork and ribs. We tried the beef, chicken, chopped pork, and hot dog. I'll ignore the hot dog. The beef was surprisingly the best of the bunch; the pork and turkey were decent. The facility itself is nice and well air conditioned, a plus when it's boiling hot outside and you just need COLD.

The Tuna-Q is absolutely unbelievably delicious! Hickory smoked for twelve hours and then smothered in a house recipe grilling sauce. Mmmm..

This is a two part review. One for the restaurant, and one for the catering as they just catered an after party for our wedding over Labor Day weekend.

The restaurant was great. Great service, great staff. I love that they have so many BBQ options. The tuna-que is so good and makes this a really good option if you have friends who don't eat meat but you can't stand the idea of going without bbq. The staff was so gracious and helpful everytime we were there. Going out of there way to answer catering questions for us. We did a tasting there last summer and were STUFFED when we left. I couldn't believe everything they gave us to taste. And we loved every single thing from the bbq to the cole slaw to the hushpuppies. It was heaven.

There was awesome for catering too. Really flexible around their offerings and the delivery fee to Corolla was only $50! Plus, they were a half hr early. We over ordered because we were planning to stay at the beach for the entire week and wanted left overs. Unfortunately, there weren't any. But that says a lot! The one warning I would give for catering would be to not order the hushpuppies. They didn't travel well.

Deelish bbq! Very casual setting. Ample seating. This is vinegar based NC style bbq. I always get a pulled pork sandwich! Never dissappoints. One of our necessary stops when we vacation in the OBX.

Very pleasant surprise to find pretty authentic eastern NC barbeque at Pigman's in KDH. We've visited the Outer Banks for years but had never stopped at Pigman's, and the q was good to great. I'm from eastern NC so have eaten it my whole life, and the pork here was moist and smokey. They put a little too much sauce on for me - granted, their sauce is good and apple cider vinegar-based - and it could have been more peppery, but overall a very good barbeque experience at Pigman. They apparently make everything on site, which is nice. My daughter enjoyed her barbeque turkey sandwich, which tasted of smoked turkey with a decent helping of Pigman's eastern NC sauce.
